This bathroom remodel turned out great!
When you book a tub or shower replacement through Carter Krill Construction, you will receive new water line shutoffs, trim kit, toe touch drain assembly, and of course a new tub/shower and surround. In this case I also had to install a new trap for the tub, because the existing trap was undersized.
When I install a tub or shower, I always leave a thick layer of mortar that the base will then be pressed into. This creates a strong and sturdy base, that will resist and cracking over the years.
I installed a Moen brushed nickel trim kit. I also installed the toilet and the vanity, and all of the drywall was hung and finished by myself.
When it comes to a window in a shower, everything must be trimmed out in pvc, and then all seams and nail holes need to be sealed with white silicone caulk. This creates a bright white finish, and also makes sure that there is no leaking behind the wall!
