What a cheap and easy way to upgrade any room in your home!

The previous ceiling fan was removed because it was improperly installed. The previous contractor screwed into the wood lath beneath the plaster in the ceiling, which is no way to hang a ceiling fan! With having a reasonable amount of weight hanging down, it is always a good idea to be sure the bracket you are installing is attached very well. To be sure of this, I had to climb into the attic and add a support between two joists. This allowed me to put four, two and a half inch deck screws into the bracket.

After that the installation process is very easy, connect the wires that plug into each other, and wrap the bare wires with wire caps AND electrical tape. This is just an added precaution, just in case a bare wire to be exposed.
