Another shower replacement!

Demo was fairly easy on this shower because it was already fiberglass. Unfortunately none of the walls were square, so I had to scribe boards to be my studding on top of the walls that were there.

The tub was set in mortar, as usual. I set tubs in mortar because this prevent a strong base that will not bounce or crack over time. It is very strong. Next, I plumbed up the valve, tub spout, and shower line. Checked for leaks, and then I installed a Lyons Elite tub surround, which requires no caulking because of a rubber seal that goes in both corners, and because of how it locks together. In my professional opinion, this tub surround is the way to go, whenever possible. Once the surround was in, I was able to drywall mud the edges and came back the next day for sanding! Install the trim kit and that was that!
