These windows were original to the house, back to the 60’s! Cold air would seep through all of the cracks, and most of them couldn’t be opened!

My first step was to remove the windows, and to build in each opening to fit my windows. The customer chose stock, new construction windows from Northview Aspen Windows. New construction windows have an exterior nailing flange, that when taped properly, will create a 100% seal. They are also cheaper when they are in stock, and not special order. After installing the window, I insulate the inside, and trim it out in high quality, sanded trim boards. After that I moved to the exterior and built out the trim in 2×4’s to give it a bolder look.

Wrapping the trim in maintenance free white aluminum is the next step. These windows will look great, and stay white for decades! In the picture window, it was decided to replace it with two, 4’x4′ windows. It took three men to get that picture window down, and into the dumpster! Replacing these windows completely changed the look of the house for the better!
